Newark Legacy Charter School operated as a public charter elementary school in Newark’s South Ward, serving students in pre-kindergarten through 6th grade at its South 16th Street campus. In July 2016 it merged with Great Oaks Charter School, and the combined school took the name Great Oaks Legacy Charter School. The former Newark Legacy campus continues to operate as Great Oaks Legacy’s Legacy Elementary and Legacy Middle schools.
